After all that boxing and jumping with Kangoo, it’s time to slow things down a bit and get some zen – Join me as I try out Yoga in the Park on TryOut Workout!
I have to admit I was a little nervous about this one – out in the open, this free weekly class can attract up to 800 people at a time — that’s a BIG “live studio audience,” and I never did yoga before!
But instructor Jillian from YogaWorks eased my fears and assured me that even rank beginners such as myself, can follow along and most importantly – have FUN while doing it. 🙂
Another worry was getting bored: was this going to be all sitting in one spot breathing until the cows come home? No way! We changed positions probably every 4-8 counts, so things moved really quickly and the time just flew by.
And all that balancing I did with the Kangoo Jumps must’ve paid off, because I am please to say I was even able to stand on one foot while tangling the rest of myself into a neat little pretzel. Yogi-twist badge, unlocked!
At the end of the workout I felt relaxed, loose, and surprisingly energized. Apparently that’s the norm as far as Yoga in the Park is concerned, so I definitely recommend you try out this workout for yourself.
